Description
Meeting and exchanging ideas with international authors is an important goal of the European Literature Days. The walking tour through Krems, music and wine tasting are an invitation to all those interested to meet the literary guests in a relaxed setting and to join in the conversation.
Like Stein, Krems an der Donau is also part of the UNESCO World Culture and Heritage region of Wachau. Set in the picturesque vineyards along the River Danube, Krems is one of Austria’s oldest cities with a well-preserved historical city centre, with churches, buildings and monuments from different epochs. Gregor Kremser and Max Dietrich also refer to a dark chapter in the history of Krems – to partly forgotten, partly destroyed, partly intact traces of the National Socialist era in this city.
Krems and the Wachau region are also renowned for their wines. The walking tour ends in the Museum Krems. Here, Nicolas Robert Lang is waiting with contemplative songs. The Winery of the City of Krems gives insights into the art of winegrowing and invites guests to a wine tasting.
